Privacy Policy
C&B Hauls ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, how we use and protect it, who we share it with, and what rights you have regarding your data. By using our website or submitting our contact form, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Short version: We only collect what you voluntarily give us through the contact form. We use it to respond to your inquiry and nothing else. We do not sell your data.
1. Information We Collect
We collect personal information only when you voluntarily provide it — specifically when you fill out and submit the contact form on our website. We do not collect data passively through tracking pixels or behavioral analytics.
| Data Type | Why We Collect It | Required? |
|---|---|---|
| Full Name | To address you properly in responses | Yes |
| Email Address | Primary method to send you a quote or reply | Yes |
| Phone Number | To call you about scheduling or pricing details | No (optional) |
| Message / Load Details | To understand the nature and scope of your request | Yes |
We do not collect payment information, government ID numbers, location data, or any other sensitive personal data through this website. If payment or additional documentation is needed, it will be arranged directly and securely outside of this website.
2. How We Use Your Information
Information collected through the contact form is used strictly for business purposes related to your inquiry. Specifically, we use your data to:
- Respond to your request for a quote or general inquiry in a timely manner.
- Communicate service availability, scheduling options, and pricing details.
- Follow up on previously submitted inquiries if you have not received a response.
- Improve our customer service practices based on the types of requests we receive (in aggregate, non-personally-identifiable form).
We will never use your personal information to send unsolicited marketing emails, add you to mailing lists, or contact you for purposes unrelated to your original inquiry without your explicit consent.
3. Third-Party Services We Use
Running our website involves a small number of trusted third-party providers. Each plays a specific role and processes your data only to the extent necessary to perform that role:
- Netlify (Web Hosting & Form Processing): Our website is hosted on Netlify's infrastructure. Form submissions may be routed through Netlify's servers before being forwarded to our business email. Netlify's privacy policy governs any data they process on our behalf. See netlify.com/privacy.
- Formspree (Contact Form Backend): We use Formspree to handle the delivery of contact form submissions to our email inbox. Formspree temporarily processes form data (name, email, phone, message) for delivery purposes. See formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
- Web Hosting Infrastructure: Our hosting provider may log basic access information (IP address, browser type, pages visited) in server logs for security and operational monitoring. These logs are not used for marketing and are typically retained for 30–90 days.
None of our third-party providers are authorized to use your personal information for their own marketing purposes.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website does not use marketing cookies, advertising trackers, or analytics platforms (such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel) that monitor your browsing behavior. We do not build visitor profiles or engage in behavioral advertising.
Your browser may store a small session cookie as a technical necessity for navigating the website, but this cookie does not contain personal information and expires when you close your browser. No persistent tracking cookies are set by our site.
5. Data Retention
We retain contact form submissions — including your name, email, phone number, and message — only for as long as is necessary to fulfill your request and maintain reasonable business records. In practice, this means:
- Emails related to an active quote or shipment are retained through the completion of that engagement.
- If no business relationship results from an inquiry, we do not retain the data beyond 12 months.
- You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us directly (see Section 12).
6. Data Security
We take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include:
- Transmitting form data over encrypted HTTPS connections.
- Using reputable, security-conscious third-party providers for form delivery and hosting.
- Limiting internal access to contact information to personnel directly responsible for responding to inquiries.
While we strive to protect your information, please be aware that no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and we encourage you to exercise caution when sharing sensitive information online.
7. Children's Privacy
Our website and commercial services are intended for adults and business customers only. We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or maintain personal information from individuals under the age of 13. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us immediately at cbhauls@outlook.com.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Regardless of where you are located, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:
Right to Access
Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to Correction
Ask us to correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
Right to Deletion
Request that we delete your personal data from our records.
Right to Object

Right to Restrict
Ask us to limit processing of your data while a dispute is resolved.
Right to Portability

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at cbhauls@outlook.com. We will respond within 30 days. We do not charge a fee for reasonable requests and will never discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
9. California Residents — CCPA Notice
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants you additional rights over your personal information. In the past 12 months, C&B Hauls has:
- Collected: Identifiers (name, email, phone) and customer communications (message content), as described in Section 1.
- Disclosed for a business purpose: Form submissions are transmitted through Netlify and Formspree solely to route your message to our inbox.
- Sold or shared for advertising: None. We do not sell or share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
California residents may submit a verified consumer request to know, delete, or correct personal information, or to opt out of any future sale (which we do not currently conduct). To submit a request, contact us using the details in Section 12. We will verify your identity before processing the request and respond within 45 days as required by law.
10. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to external websites (for example, links within this policy to Netlify or Formspree's privacy pages). Once you leave our site, this Privacy Policy no longer applies. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any external site you visit. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party websites.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or operational needs. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may also note it prominently on our homepage. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of our website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.
12. Contact Us
